This badge comes from the Chinese People's Anti-Japanese Military and Political College, set-up in Yanan during the War of Resistance against Japan (ie: 1935-1945).

The bag holding the pin carries the tribute to Chairman Mao from Lin Biao: Great Teacher; Great Leader; Great Commander; and Great Helmsman. Immediately below are wishes for Chairman Mao's long life.

10 Special Issue Chairman Mao Pins

This is special set of 10 Chairman Mao badges, each numbered and dated to show a different period in Chairman Mao's life. Each pin has been hand painted with a red glaze and two pins in particular have a splash of green and one in blue. These were most probably produced to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the People's Republic in Oct. 1969. The red carrying case has two tributes by Lin Piao.

An absolutely fantastic piece! Cast in what appears to be brass alloy, this clearly shows Chairman Mao sitting with Lin Biao at 9th Party Congress in 1969. This is the only piece of this sort we have discovered in 9 years in China and as such, believe it to be extremely rare and collectible.

This is a very unusual and unique piece. Chairman Mao's profile has been stamped into an alumimun strip, but the metal was too narrow, so small portions of the outter ring are missing. These should have been re-melted and made into strips again, but for whatever reason they survived.

This is a very nice pin with writer Lu Xun's profile. Although he died long before the Cultural Revolution, his writings were used by Chairman Mao and especially by Mao's wife, Jiang Qing, and he rose to new prominence during the period.
