Chairman Mao Pin Stamping Errors

This is a very unusual and unique piece. Chairman Mao's profile has been stamped into an alumimun strip, but the metal was too narrow, so small portions of the outter ring are missing. These should have been re-melted and made into strips again, but for whatever reason they survived.

Each impression shows Mao's protrait over Tiananmen Gate with fireworks going off to celebrate the 19th anniversary of the People's Republic of China in Oct. 1968 according to the information on the back.

This strip is 56 cm long and 7cm wide. The strip has 7 impressions, front and back.
