Chairman Mao Plastic Desk Stand

This is a very iconic portrait of Chairman Mao on a heavy duty plastic desk stand in good condition. The color is red but not quite the usual red associated with China, rather more pinkish tinge. Considering the entire item, front, back and swivel stand are the same color, it was either made in this color or something in the plastic caused the entire item to change color.

The reverse shows it was made by the Shanghai State Owned Worker-Peasant Hair Clip Factory. The stand is 9.5cm (3.75 inches) in diameter.
