Cultural Revolution Teapot

This is an unusual teapot that is smaller than the standard teapots that are more common. The scene is pure Cultural Revolution - boat, modern apartments, and factories - all topped with red flags.

The teapot measures 19cm (7.5 inches) from handle to spout and 14cm (5.5 inches) high. It was manufactured in 1972 by Liling Guoguang. There are no cracks but a very small chip on the top of the spout and inner lid nib is missing (thus the wonderful thin rope from handle to lid knob!), not unusual for these old teapots.
