Dancing Girl with Gun

Cultural Revolution operas were quite popular at the time, especially those written by the self-proclaimed expert, Jiang Qing, and this statue is a present day representation of that period. The female member of the enforcers of the revolution, the Red Guards, holds aloft a pistol while dancing to revolutionary opera.
