Chairman Mao Quotation on Silk in Japanese

This is a fine example of how Chairman Mao's message was conveyed to people other than the Chinese. Mao's words on silk in Chinese are certainly not common, and in other languages are far scarcer.

The quotation (poem?) from Chairman Mao reads, "People of the world, united and defeat the US aggressors and all their running dogs! People of the world, be courageous, dare to fight, defy difficulties and advance wave upon wave. Then the whole world will belong to the people. Monsters of all kinds shall be destroyed.".

The text on the bottom shows that this was a present from Chinese People's Magazine.

The impressive red on white lettering and specially embroidered boarder make this a highly desirable piece and if framed will be truly stunning.

The overall size of the silk is 19.5 cm (7.7 inches) x 29 cm (11.4 inches).
