Military Training Cultural Revolution Poster

This is a visually stunning from the early 1970's is entitled, 'Submit to Rigorous Military Training'.

The poster dates from a period of Chinese turmoil, the Army was re-establishing its authority in society during a time when the Vietnam War was raging just next door to the south and the Soviet Union was next door to the north. Military training and preparedness where tremendously important.

The poster measures 77cm (30.25 inches) x 52cm (20.5 inches). There is a vertical and horizontal crease mark and a small tear on the upper left side. It was printed in 1972 by the Tianjin People's Art Publishing House.
