Cultural Revolution Motherland Defense Poster

Securing the Motherland has long been a priority of the Chinese government, and whether any threat is real or perceived, they have continually highlighted this with posters during the Cultural Revolution, such as this one, 'Heighten Our Vigilance, Defend the Mother Country'.

Naturally, the 3 figures on the poster show the guiding ideological hand of Mao Tse-Tung thought, with a solider from the People's Liberation Army giving practical instruction of the homeland militia.

The poster measures 57cm (22.5 inches) x 77cm (30.5 inches) and is in very good condition. It was printed in August 1970.
