Collection of Small Cultural Revolution Posters
This collection of 8 small posters clearly conveys different aspects of life during the Cultural Revolution, all having devotion to Chairman Mao as a common theme.
Among the most interesting are the posters showing a group meeting to criticize Liu Shaoqi, who fell from grace in 1966 and the scene showing the downing of an imperialist American aircraft ('Punish severely the air marauder' according to the inscription on the reverse).
There are a few creases and/or small tears along the edges of several posters. Each poster measures 26cm (10.25 inches) x 19cm (7.5 inches) and were probably printed in 1967 or 1968.
