Chairman Mao - Hua Guofeng Poster

This is nice example of posters produced at the end of the Cultural Revolution. This particular attempt was to give Hua Guofeng legitimacy as Chairman Mao's appointed successor, following Mao's death in September 1976.

The images under the portraits of Mao and Hua are classic figures and classic items - worker, farmer, military, all in a festival atmosphere.

The text reads, "Chairman Mao's infinite trust in Chairman Hua, the Whole Nation Warmly Enthusiastically Supports Chairman Hua".

The poster measures 75cm (29.5 inches) x 53cm (21 inches) and is in good condition. It was printed in Beijing in December 1976.
