Cultural Revolution Propaganda Poster

This is a very nice example of what was being produced during the Cultural Revolution. This was perhaps even the inspiration for the contemporary CR woodblock print we are offering this month!

This poster carries classic CR themes - peasant, young woman in uniform, and worker - with a copy of Chairman Mao's quotations. The poster's wording is 'A Vast World Where Much Can Be Accomplished Is Reaching Maturity'.

The poster measures 75.5cm (30 inches) x 52.5cm (20.5 inches) printed in Shanxi province and most likely produced in the early 1970's.
