Mirror with Stand from Cultural Revolution

This is a great item from the Cultural Revolution in China. The front carries the greeting, 'Long Live Chairman Mao!', 'Long Live the People!' at the top of the mirror. The reverse of the mirror has red paper (slightly faded at the edges) under glass with a quotation from Chairman Mao that states, 'The force at the core leading our cause forward is the Chinese Communist Party. The theoretical basis guiding our thinking is Marxism-Leninism.'

The mirror is supported by a steel heavy gage wire frame.

The printing information shows this was made at the Beijing No. 71 Mirror Factory.
