Rare Cultural Revolution Pair of Vases

This is an exceptional pair of rare vases from the Cultural Revolution. Each hand painted vase has an accompanying matching cover showing the advancement of China with a tractor in the fields rather than oxen. The rising sun representing Chairman Mao is naturally present as well.

The scene is mirrored on each vase (ditto for covers) and the Chinese reads, 'Mechanize Agriculture'.

Each vase is 28cm (11 inches) high with cover. The bottoms are marked as being made in Jingdezhen but not dated, although this is clearly from the Cultural Revolution given the slogans and images used.
