Cultural Revolution Enamel Cup with Cover

This cup was produced to honor the place Chairman Mao was from, Shaoshan, with an idyllic scene.

The Chinese characters state, "The Red Sun Rises in This Place. Pay reverence to Shaoshan with this memento.".

The cup is 12cm (4.75 inches) high and 9.5cm (3.75 inches) in diameter. According to the production information on the bottom of the cup, it was "Made with Respect" by the Enamel Factory in Changsha, Hunan on April 26, 1971.
