Chairman Mao Dictation and Stamp on Letter

A fine example of how, even in death, Chairman Mao continued to lead the Chinese nation. This stamp was issued after his death in 1977, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the People's Liberation Army. Also included is a, 'Top Directive', from Chairman Mao in the form of a red ink chop. The reverse is a picture of the building that hosted the first meeting of the Communist Party of China in 1921 in Shanghai.

The postmark date on the stamp is not visible.
